- Improve on services to you and the over 18,000 visitors every year
What we have done recently:
- With membership support we were able to create a new CHANGING EXHIBITS gallery on the second floor. Here, you can see how firefighting has changed in Philadelphia over the last 300 years; learn fire prevention tips from Ruby and Fong, our newest cartoon characters; and the children can try on a fire coat, pass a bucket in a fire brigade or reel out a hose line!
- We dedicated a memorial exhibit to commemorate the New York City firefighters who were lost in the September 11 terrorist attack.
- In addition, we have also installed a new HVAC system, upgraded our gift shop and are in the process of updating the Museum website.
- We installed the new Sam Psoras Exhibit, 50 YEARS OF FIRE PHOTOGRAPHY. Listen to Sam recount the stories behind the photographs to Terry Rugles and listen to the firefighters who took part.
Fireman's Hall Museum acknowledges with thanks the general operating support provided by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
