- Fire Chief Phil: Fire Chief Phil risks his life everyday to keep people safe in your town. His job is to put out fires and rescue people in emergencies. When there is a burning building, a loud alarm sounds and Fire Chief Phil slides down the pole in the firehouse. He quickly puts on his protective gear, boots and a special helmet. He jumps into his fire truck and zooms to the scene. Fire Chief Phil turns on the truck’s siren and flashing lights so other drivers will get out of his way. At the fire, he uses an axe to break open doors. If he must enter a room filled with smoke, he wears an air tank and breathing mask. To put out the blaze, Firefighter Phil soaks the flames with powerful jets of water pumped from fire hoses.
